People Education and Welfare Trust (PEWT) established in the year 2009, is dedicated to provide  a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive academically, personally and professionally, expand their horizons, develop lifeskills and make a positive impact in the society.

In order to provide world class quality education to all walks of life and to address the regional imbalances in quality education, PWET started Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Arts and Science College (JNIAS) in a picturesque location at Thookupalam, Idukki.
