Objectives

The objectives of JNIAS’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is to revolve around ensuring and enhancing the quality of education, research, and administrative processes.

  • Developing and Implementing Quality Policies: Formulate and implement policies and procedures related to quality assurance in all aspects of academic and administrative functioning.
  • Facilitating Internal and External Quality Assessments: Coordinate internal and external assessments, evaluations, and audits to measure the effectiveness of academic programs, teaching-learning processes, and support services.
  • Ensuring Compliance with Accreditation Standards: Ensure that the institution meets the criteria and standards set by accrediting bodies and regulatory authorities by facilitating the accreditation process and addressing areas for improvement.
  • Promoting Academic Excellence: Promote a culture of academic excellence by encouraging innovation, research, and continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
  • Enhancing Teaching-Learning Processes: Support faculty development initiatives, training programs, and workshops to enhance teaching methodologies, instructional design, and student engagement strategies.
  • Improving Student Support Services: Identify and address the needs of students by improving support services such as counseling, mentoring, career guidance, and facilities to enhance student success and satisfaction.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating the quality of academic programs, student performance, faculty productivity, and administrative processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Promoting Research and Innovation: Encourage research culture by providing support for faculty and student research projects, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, and facilitating the dissemination of research findings.
  • Enhancing Institutional Effectiveness: Assess the effectiveness of institutional plans, policies, and procedures in achieving the institution's mission and goals, and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Engaging Stakeholders: Foster communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, students, alumni, employers, and the community, to ensure their involvement in quality enhancement efforts.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records, documentation, and reports related to quality assurance activities, including self-assessment reports, action plans, and outcomes, for accountability and transparency purposes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Facilitate a culture of continuous improvement by analysing feedback, data, and performance indicators, and implementing corrective actions and initiatives to enhance quality on an ongoing basis.

These objectives collectively guide the IQAC in its mission to ensure and enhance the quality of education and academic processes within the institution, ultimately contributing to the overall development and success of its students and stakeholders.
